LAWAR KLUNGAH BALI RECIPE

Bali is so interesting. I think, you will imagine about Kuta beach, Nusa dua, until Ubud. Actually, there are many beautiful places in Bali. If you have come at once, I swear you won’t want to back home. Beside of the beautiful place in Bali, What else are the uniquest things in Bali? Here, I want to tell you more about Bali other than of the nice  places, cultures, and traditions. You must be agree with me because I will tell about the traditional culinaries in Bali. Let me know, Who doest’t like eat? Bali has many kinds of traditional foods. Here, I will give a recipe of Balinese foods. You must to know about “ Lawar” but now it’s little bit difference because it made from young coconut shell, It calls “ Lawar Klungah “. In generally, it uses to replace jack fruit in ordinary lawar or you can just make it in many variations such as by add pork or something that suitable. We usually served as a side dish, or a complement to other dishes of Balinese foods. Now, I will explain how to make ordinary lawar klungah.

Iingredients  :

• Klungah 150 g
• Coconut oil / cooking oil to taste
seasoning :
• Isen 2 fingers
• root crop1 finger
• Turmeric 1 finger
• Ginger 0.5 finger
• limo leaves 1 teaspoon chopped
• 15 cloves garlic
• 15 cloves Onion
• 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
Red pepper 50 g
10 pecan seeds
  bay leaveleaves to taste
paste to taste
salt to taste
Leather roasted coconut meat to taste
Bay leaves to taste

Making way:

•Step 1 : firstly, we have to punch all the seasoning such as ginger plant  ,black pepper , a spoon of  salt , shrimp paste and chili slices , after that we have to fried them until  they smell fragrant .
• Step 2 : After that we have to slice the Onions and garlics. We also have to fried them until fragrant.
•  Step 3 : we have to continue, here we will prepare for the vegetables, we will use “klungah”. We have to chop ‘The Klungah” into small slice then wash and after that drained it.

The complete seasonings are made by mixing the step 1 and step 2 and we have to put a little bit lime to them. This complete seasonings are ready to use making “lawar klungah”
• klungah shells boiled for 10 minutes , then cooled .
• Klungah that has been chilled and then sliced ​​lengthwise , then squeezed , water is removed . continued sliced ​​lengthwise . mixing the seasoning then performed in the following way .
• Klungah plus complete seasoning and stir thoroughly . Klungah , and seasoned mixed and stirred evenly .
• Once mixed evenly , on top sprinkled with fried onions , then lawar klungah
ready to serve

SUBAK MUSEUM

Bali is famous with it rice field view, but do you know other thing that has relation with that ? it just the only one in the world. NO ? ok, let me explain it to you little bit about it. The important thing that made rice field in Bali good and famous is it irrigation system called “ SUBAK” . That organisation of farmer in bali, and it has a leader, area management, and a temple, for the Subak ( Ulun carik temple). In Bali the center of agriculture is in Tabanan regency, because it has the largest agriculture in Bali, Jatiluwih is the famous one.Here also there a Subak museum certainly it is located in Sanggulan village, Tabanan regency,or 1 hour from airport. The place keep Balinese traditional tools to plow up the field.

When I was here the condition this place is good, there many tools which related with rice field, they are crowbar, sickle, mattock, buffalo statue and other tools, this is a special museum because showing a theme it a agriculture system,but the visitor is quite, even local people, just sometimes there touris, think the government should promotion it to aboard. Subak museum can be visited when Monday – Saturday from 08.00 am – 16.30 Pm. And when Sunday and national holiday is closed.

Museum subak is the only one museum that showing miniature of subak completely process with starts from found water resources, made tunnel of water, build the  barrage, and made pipeline to channeling the water to citizen rice field. Here also has audio-visual data which explain about  process of cultivation of paddy, from meeting of subak members , agreement of water management, until ritual to hope the harvest excellent. The important one is there a miniature of traditional kitchen complete with it’s design and the tools to cook.  The visitor also can improve their knowledge about agriculture by visiting in complex of the museum. Entrance fee is 5k to adult and 3k to children.

Taman Segara Madu Swimming pool

Hii guys .. do you like swim ? but still confusing to choose a swimming that has compete facilities and low price,  Taman Segara Madu is the best choose. Located in tourism area, Batu Bolong street  No. 39, Canggu, village  Badung  regency – Bali, make it place always full of visitors by domestic or international. Just 20km from bandara Ngurah Rai to Taman Segara Madu or 30 minute if by motor cycle and 50 minute if by car. To entrance ticket here is not to expensive, just 25k to adult and 20 k to children, it already enjoy the freshness and beauty of this place.

Taman Segara Madu is a park that had unique design  linking up with water park and culinary concept .here available a Olympic standard pool and three recreation and children pool . As a recreation the desaign , the pool made patterned ovally with waterfall ornament bridge and sliding. With support facilities like pool bar with delicious food and reasonably priced,shower, change room, rest room, locker, tribune, sliding, long chair and some  bale joglo along right and left side of the main pool, which give impression of comfort kolam, restaurant, mini market, meeting rooms.

The others facilities that available in Taman Segara Madu are wide parkir area, and rescue crew, to make costumer feel safe when in the pool. In the main pool is used to swimming training to swimmer, starts from beginner until  teenagers. The Olympic pool has long 50m, wide 25m and deep 195m with eight trajectory. Swim is identical with food, after swim you usually feel hungry. Don’t worry, in this place there restaurant that provide many kind of menu like Chinese Food, Thai Food, Western Food dan Indonesian Food, you can choose what do you want, guaranteed to all of menu which served is kosher menu. With friendly service will made you like here.

Taman Segara Madu  is provide place to you who want celebrate special even like birth day wedding,  meeting, social gathering, and other important even. The view around it is a fairly wide expanse of rice fields. If you have interest you can overnight in hotel around here, the famous hotel near here is Taman Hotel Tugu Bali. It located in north of Batu Bolong temple. I have tried main pool here, so comfortable, and I like swim hero, the water is good, clear and of course good food. I also joined swimming competition here, when I was senior high, so this place is memorable to me.

Butterfly,  who don’t  it ?  heard so so, beautiful, small, colour full, and so on, just that we thought about butterfly, right? Not really special, I was think like that to, but it before I visit a place with full of butterfly. I learn more there and know them closer.

Guys.. do you know beside bird park in Bali there are butterfly park ? When you being holiday in tabanan area that famous with natura object atraction,like bedugul, jati luwih, and baratan lake.there is no harm if you visit the kingdom of butterfly in wanasari village. Just 6 km north downtown of Tabanan. That park breadth around 1 Ha contain thausand of beautiful butterfly species almost from all of region in Indonesia.  

Here you can learn much more about butterfly, there is netting area, park, little cave, and museum of butterfly. Netting area  is to breeding of butterfly. Visitors can see the butterfly's life starting from the caterpillars, chrysalis, to turn into a butterfly with various colour.When Galunga holiday I and my family was go here.  Inside of this park is pleasant with flower plan. Outside from the neeting are, you will see thaousans butterfly flying serching for nectar of flower. When I was in netting area I surprised with big butterfly  as palm an adult hand. That is for the first time I saw it. I thought that’s the king of butterfly.  We also visit little cave hand made there, but inside I found some insect and  beetle like tarantula, bark beetle and others turn out.

When I got there I saw more foreign visitor  than domestic. I dont know why, maybe luck of promosion to domestic touris. The best time to visiting here is around 10 am because butterflies is being looking for eat. Every month around 3.000 butterflies is released to nature. After see butterlies you can countinu to the it musuem. It has collection of various types of insects and butterflies are preserved and listed Latin name anyway. ditatat neatly and in one color or some are mixed. remarkable in my opinion. I hope more domestic tourism come here,  they can learn more about butterfly, it environment because we are which have the region, so we should know more.

After you pleased walk around inside, if you got hungry or thirsty don’t worry here there a simple cafetaria to get lunch,drink, or snack here. The food from western and Indonesia.  Open every day from 08.00 am – 17.00 pm. Enterance fee is around 15k to adult, 10 k to children and 50k for foreign 25k for children. I suggest to take your children also here to learn about butterfly, they can direcly learn from butterfly environment by real condition  and fun situation. This park also produce many kind of art which made from insect, like framing Butterfly, framing Beetle, paper weight, paint from butterfly wing, bookmark, keychains and others that sell by wholesale and retail.
