KLUNGAH BALI RECIPE
Bali is so
interesting. I think, you will imagine about Kuta beach, Nusa dua, until Ubud.
Actually, there are many beautiful places in Bali. If you have come at once, I
swear you won’t want to back home. Beside of the beautiful place in Bali, What
else are the uniquest things in Bali? Here, I want to tell you more about Bali other
than of the nice places, cultures, and
traditions. You must be agree with me because I will tell about the traditional
culinaries in Bali. Let me know, Who doest’t like eat? Bali has many kinds of
traditional foods. Here, I will give a recipe of Balinese foods. You must to
know about “ Lawar” but now it’s little bit difference because it made from young
coconut shell, It calls “ Lawar Klungah “. In generally, it uses to replace
jack fruit in ordinary lawar or you can just make it in many variations such as
by add pork or something that suitable. We usually served as a side dish, or a
complement to other dishes
of Balinese foods. Now, I will explain how to make ordinary lawar klungah.
Iingredients :
• Klungah 150 g
• Coconut oil / cooking oil to taste
seasoning :
• Isen 2 fingers
• root crop1 finger
• Turmeric 1 finger
• Ginger 0.5 finger
• limo leaves 1 teaspoon chopped
• 15 cloves garlic
• 15 cloves Onion
• 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
Red pepper 50 g
10 pecan seeds
bay leaveleaves to taste
paste to taste
salt to taste
Leather roasted coconut meat to taste
Bay leaves to taste
Making way:
•Step 1 : firstly, we have to punch all the seasoning such as ginger plant ,black pepper , a spoon of salt , shrimp paste and chili slices , after that we have to fried them until they smell fragrant .
• Step 2 : After that we have to slice the Onions and garlics. We also have to fried them until fragrant.
• Step 3 : we have to continue, here we will prepare for the vegetables, we will use “klungah”. We have to chop ‘The Klungah” into small slice then wash and after that drained it.
The complete seasonings are made by mixing the step 1 and step 2 and we have to
put a little bit lime to them. This complete
seasonings
are ready to use making “lawar klungah”
• klungah shells boiled for 10 minutes , then cooled .
• Klungah that has been chilled and then sliced lengthwise , then squeezed , water is removed . continued sliced lengthwise . mixing the seasoning then performed in the following way .
• Klungah plus complete seasoning and stir thoroughly . Klungah , and seasoned mixed and stirred evenly .
• Once mixed evenly , on top sprinkled with fried onions , then lawar klungah
ready to serve
